The largest African festival in Australia is back, and bigger than ever

Transport yourself to Africa as Federation Square comes alive with vibrant music, dance performances and artworks. Last year, more than 30,000 Melburnians gathered to celebrate the many African communities that have enriched our city; in fact, 35 different communities and organisations were involved.
This year should see even more people come to the party. Of course it’s not a festival without some food, so expect street food from all aacross Africa: think injera and curry, plus delicious sweet treats.
