On Sunday, 24 May, the Premier announced the conditional re-opening of caravan parks, together with the easing of travel restrictions, in Victoria from 1 June. Communal facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens will remain closed for the time being. Self-contained accommodation in regulated caravan parks is now available to book.

This is very welcome news for VicParks’ caravan park operators who desperately want to welcome back visitors this winter.

VicParks has worked hard to ensure a safe re-opening of caravan parks to support members and the Victorian community who are desperate to enjoy time away. Our member parks will be given strict requirements to follow from 1 June including the requirement that they apply stringent social distancing, surface cleanliness and personal hygiene processes to protect themselves, their staff and guests from the chance of infection. We will continue to work with government the safe re-opening of communal facilities as soon as possible.
