The topic of electricity prices has been getting hotter and hotter since the announcement of the closure of Hazelwood. This workshop will aim to inform members of why the price has gotten so high and the patterns we can deduce based on the electricity market & its history in Australia. There are a plethora of players at the table in the energy market, stakeholders existing in state and federal government; enforcers of international treaties and corporations with vested interest in the price of the kWh.
When it comes to the pricing of one of the most necessary utilities in today’s society, the use of electricity only expected to increase as we move into the future of an increasingly globalized world. This workshop will also provide tips on how to determine key factors when re-tendering your contract, as well as highlighting some of the increasingly relevant contract terms during the re-tender process.
This workshop will comprise of an amalgamation of information including;
