THE definition of hotel seems to be getting broader. TripAdvisor, which claims to be the world’s largest travel site, has included two holiday parks in its latest list of Top Ten hotels in Australia. They are the BIG4 Cairns Coconut Resort in Queensland and the BIG4 Beacon Resort in Victoria. BIG4 chief executive Steven Wright commented: “It’s very exciting to see the public recognising what’s perhaps the world’s best-kept secret – that many holiday parks offer extremely high quality accommodation that competes with the best of the best within the hotel industry.”
