10 Things that should be on a Caravan Park Owners “To Do” List when Managing Employment Practices Masterclass

August 22, 2017 @ 5:00 am - 7:00 am

Presented by Madgwicks Lawyers

The future of any business undoubtedly hinges on its decisions – past or present. Ensuring that employment practices are legally compliant is necessary for all Australian employers. However, given the vast range of laws that apply to employment, not to mention the frequent changes to these laws, it can often be difficult for business owners to work out what areas to focus on. This session will identify many of those “focus areas” for you.

Making the decision to focus on improving employment practices, and ensuring compliance, is one of the best investments which any business can make. Not only is compliance with the various employment laws highly regulated by the authorities, there are also quite hefty costs – and even penalties – associated with non-compliance. Further, being able to appropriately and effectively handle any issues that arise with employees is largely contingent on having appropriate processes and procedures in place. ‘Appropriate’ processes and procedures are those which are not only relevant to your business and reflective of your business’ culture and values, but also legally compliant.

During this interactive workshop session, Emily Dempster, Senior Associate, will guide delegates through ten key items that should be on every caravan park owner’s “to do” list when managing employment practices. Attendees should expect to leave the session equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to address these ten key items in their own businesses which will, in turn assist in managing risk.
