Kyneton Music Festival
October 19, 2017 - October 21, 2017
As far as arty regional towns go, Kyneton is quickly establishing a reputation for itself. Exhibit A: the amazing line-up for its annual music festival
Cash Savage, Loose Tooth and Dan Kelly lead the line-up for the annual Kyneton Music Festival, set to hit the picturesque surrounds of this breezy Macedon Ranges town this October.
Situated almost halfway between Bendigo and Melbourne, Kyneton has had quite the turnaround in the past decade, transitioning from sleepy country town into a cultural destination for Melburnians ditching the rat race.
The music festival, which is now in its sixth year, will feature a stacked line-up of live music happening all weekend. You’ll be able to hear from the aforementioned headliners, country-blues purveyor Cash Savage and her band the Last Drinks, Melbourne guitar pop three-piece Loose Tooth and free-wheeling singer-songwriter Dan Kelly. They’ll be performing alongside Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, the Cactus Channel, Flowertruck, Karl S Williams, The Twoks, Freya Josephine Hollick, Sugar Fed Leopards, Fountaineer, Dan Parsons and heaps more.
The festival will run over two days: smaller and more intimate performances will take place on Friday October 20 at the Bluestone Theatre, and the main festival day will be held the following day, on Saturday October 21, at St Pauls Park and the local burger joint and bar Major Tom’s.
Don’t have a car? No worries – the V-Line train is only an hour journey from Southern Cross. Bonus for those bringing little ones – kids under the age of 12 can come along for free when accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
