VicParks congratulates Michael McIvor (Eldorado Tourist Park & Broken Hill Tourist Park) on his selection as a Future Leader in our Industry.
The Future Leaders Committee of Caravan Industry Association of Australia recently gathered at Jayco’s manufacturing facility in Victoria. Before commencing their scheduled meeting, the Committee was taken on a tour of the Jayco factory, with all members agreeing the experience was of great benefit.
The Committee endeavours to meet at a wide range of businesses, with the previous meeting held at Brisbane Holiday Village in Queensland, in an effort to expose members to a diverse range of industry businesses. They believe gaining insight across various sectors allows them to gain a better appreciation for the industry as a whole.
During this meeting, the Committee focused heavily on planning for the 2017 Future Leaders Conference, to be held at Jupiters Hotel and Casino on the Gold Coast on 10 May 2017. After the successful launch of the Future Leaders Conference in 2016, the Committee is gearing up for an even bigger and better conference next year.
The Future Leaders Committee meets regularly to discuss industry related topics, often focusing on the development of a youth engagement strategy. Their aim is to put forward strategies to attract, develop and retain both current and future industry leaders in the under-forties age bracket. The committee comprises 10 members in total from 5 different states, covering all industry sectors including manufacturing, caravan parks, state associations, sales and suppliers.
The under-forties in the industry are encouraged to attend the Future Leaders Conference in 2017 to network with their peers and take advantage of an outstanding professional development event.
Details coming soon to the Expanding our Horizons National Conference webpage.
