THE elderly owners of a Lake Entrance caravan park in Victoria have decided to sell … partly because they can’t keep up with the digital age. They have operated the business for 22 years and are not enjoying the best of health as they near their 70s. Selling agent Michael Keltie, of Business Sales Victoria, said the owners had no knowledge of the internet and had a very poor online presence.
“If you don’t do this with a caravan park, you are losing 80 percent of the market that should be contacting your business,” his advertising blurb says. The two-acre park has 50 powered sites, up to 50 tent sites and a 30-bed hostel with communal kitchen. It’s on the market for $855,000. Mr Keltie declined to name the couple or identify the park.
