Prosecco lovers unite! On February 25, you’ll be able to try over 40 different examples of Prosecco, meet the growers, winemakers and importers, and even take home a goodie bag at Melbourne’s first ever Prosecco festival.

Festival-goers will also have a chance to taste some Prosecco food matches, like oysters, cheese and caviar, and there’ll be Aperol Spritzes served up all day long by Van Di Vino, Australia’s first mobile Prosecco bar. Oh, and there’ll be Bellini and Aperol Spritz-flavoured cannoli on offer. Nope, this is not a dream.

This glorious day wouldn’t be possible without Melissa Brauer, AKA The Prosecco Queen, and her desire to treat Melburnians to an event devoted to her favourite drop. Brauer has been extolling the virtues of Prosecco (Italian and Australian) for many years, and hosting masterclasses and wine dinners around Melbourne, dedicated to teaching people about this highly underrated wine variety.
